At North Star Haptics, we believe that the tools you use every day should inspire creativity, not just productivity. Our journey started, like many great ones, in a basement filled with coffee cups, soldering irons, and late-night debates about stabilizers and switch feel. What began as an obsession over the perfect “thock” evolved into a mission: to build keyboards and custom input devices that connect people to their craft through precision, design, and a deep respect for the art of feel.

We create two distinct kinds of keyboards:

• Bespoke Keyboards — handcrafted, one-on-one collaborations where every detail reflects you. From switch selection and keycap design to sound tuning and aesthetics, we work together to build something uniquely yours.
• Curated Collections — in the future, we will be offering small-batch, ready-to-type models designed with the same care and attention as our custom builds. Each board will represent a different take on performance, personality, and purpose.

Other bespoke input devices follow the same pattern. Whether you’re needing a custom arcade stick for that added edge during ranked competitive gaming, or accessibility options that keep you in the zone — we work with you to pick the custom drivers, switches, toggles, buttons, and more along with an aesthetic that is a reflection of you.

We’re a small team of engineers, gamers, and nerds (n of 2 to be exact), who care deeply about the intersection of form and function. We argue over actuation force curves, obsess over acoustics, and occasionally stop to appreciate a keyboard that just sounds right. Every peripheral we ship has been tested, tuned, and refined until it earns a spot under your fingertips.
